Selling ISK For Cash Legally? Not Yet
I have to confess that one of my goals in life is to make money playing a video game. This stems from my childhood desire to grow up to be a video game tester, a desire that has, alas, not panned out. It wouldn’t have to be a lot of money, mind you, just a little would be good enough to say I did it.
The only game I’m playing right now is EVE Online and they unfortunately don’t allow you to sell your virtual game money for real cash, the was Second Life does.
The thing is, I think they will have to eventually set up a system, similar to what Linden Labs has made for Second Life, through which players and buy and sell ISK. They have already made it possible to buy game money through the the in-game Plex cards that can be purchased from the website. Having already ignored that one decent argument for allowing people to buy ISK, that it is not fair to people who make all their money, in-game, it can’t be long before CCP decides to allow us to legally sell that money back to the company as well. Until then, I’ll be stuffing my space piggy bank.
